Judson University, founded in 1913, is located in the suburban community of Elgin, Ill., outside of Chicago. Judson is an evangelical Christian university that offers a liberal arts education that emphasizes religious training - all of the faculty, for example, are professed Christians and promote an environment that provides a faith-based context for studies. Students can choose from a variety of majors, including a education programs, graphic design, media studies, art, communications and music business entrepreneurship. Judson also hosts a World Leaders Forum every year, with keynote speakers such as former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev.
