Adrian, MI
Founded in 1859, Adrian College is a private school affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The 100-acre campus is located in the city of Adrian, Mich. The school offers a liberal arts education in the Methodist religious tradition. Students can choose to participate in a number of internships and practicums, including tutoring at local schools, consulting for local non-profits and, for biology students, assisting with the River Raisin Watershed Council. Graduation in any major requires completion of a Capstone Experience in which seniors complete a project associated with their major.

Founded in 1889, St. Joseph's College is a private institution affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. The 180-acre school is located in rural Rensselaer, Ind. Students are enrolled in a four-year interdisciplinary general education sequence of classes that allows them to explore many different majors before committing to one. Some of the school's most popular majors include health professions and related programs, business, management, marketing and biomedical sciences.

Founded in 1966, the University of Minnesota-Crookston is a public school located in rural Crookston, Minn., and is one of the five campuses in the University of Minnesota system. The school began offering online courses in 1996, including bachelor's degrees in about 10 areas. They include business administration, accounting, entrepreneurial and small business operations, marketing, communications, public relations, informatics, information technology, health services, hospital administration and medical records technology.
