Find Doctorate of Audiology Degree Programs Online

The best way to start a successful audiology career is to complete an audiology doctoral program at an accredited university. This includes audiology doctoral distance learning programs – just make sure the institution you select is accredited by one of the six regional U.S. accrediting bodies and that the online program itself is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). In 2009, 18 states required a doctorate to practice audiology, and this trend is growing. Audiology graduate programs typically last four years and grant the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree.

Fast-Track Your Audiology Career

With employment of audiologists expected to grow by 25% though 2018, now is a perfect time to search audiology doctorate programs in preparation for top audiology jobs. Holding a Doctorate in Audiology allows you to seek lucrative and secure employment with hospitals, outpatient care centers, educational services, and state and local governments. Advancing in the field typically means supervising less experienced audiologists in such facilities or going into private practice. Demand for audiologists tends to be greater in areas where many retirees live, so job prospects can be excellent if you’re willing to relocate to such a region.
