With the importance of and growing need for public safety positions, it's no surprise a number of eminent schools offer public safety and emergency management certificate programs.

According to the latest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data, employment of occupational health and safety specialists and technicians will grow 11% through 2018, about as fast as the average for all occupations.
