Project Management Certifications Online
Project managers supervise staff and allocate resources to ensure the correct and timely completion of work. They typically take charge of a diverse group of employees for the duration of a particular project as opposed to permanently supervising a department. Afterwords they typically move on to another project that involves a different staff and different tasks, at least in part. Gaining experience and completing a project management certification program is a good way to advance your career as a project manager.

The most popular and well–respected project management certificate is the Project Management Professional (PMP certification). It is an advanced certification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) for experienced project managers; the qualifications and testing to earn your PMP designation are quite difficult. There are also more basic project management certification programs offered by many colleges and universities that may also help boost your career.
The employment outlook for project managers depends on which field they work in. The latest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data projects that both engineering and information technology firms will need many new project managers, with a 16% increase expected through 2018. Growth in advertising and marketing project management will be somewhat faster at 17%.
