Political science jobs include a wide variety of executive and legislative government positions, from the local to federal level. City councilmen, mayors, representatives, senators, governors and presidents all fall into this category. A bachelors in public administration or similar degree is generally considered the start of professional practice in this field, and if you want to run for high elective office it is probably a good idea to get at least a master's degree in political science.
