Enter the Exciting Business Entertainment Field

Some educational institutions offer Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees in Business Entertainment, but the most common (and perhaps the most useful) degree for business entertainment professionals is a Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) – General Business. A secondary major or minor in the field you wish to specialize in, such as music or sports, should also prove helpful.

In 2006 there were about 25,000 people employed in business entertainment, and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects that number to grow anywhere from 7% to 13% through 2016. As with most business fields, completing an internship and/or earning an advanced degree like an MBA will almost certainly bring you better job opportunities.
