Bachelor’s in Accounting and BBA in Accounting – Job Outlook
The demand for honest accountants who have a complete understanding of their field has been growing; globalization and recent financial scandals have wrought big changes in the profession. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) in particular has made accounting more important, requiring public companies to institute strict internal financial controls and make their bookkeeping easier for government auditors to oversee. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that accounting jobs will grow by 18% through 2016, a faster-than-average pace compared to the rate for all occupations.
