On-Campus or Online Human Services Associate’s
Degree Programs
Human services professionals create and operate programs geared toward providing care for those who are experiencing long-term emotional or mental distress. Some work with relatively healthy people who need a minimum of care, while others are involved in more serious cases such as abused or neglected children and the mentally ill. A human services associate’s degree prepares you for entry-level work in this field and serves as a gateway to further education.

Human Services Associate’s Degree – Job Outlook
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for human services workers should increase by about 24% through 2016. This is a much faster-than-average pace when compared to all occupations. In rural areas, where it is often difficult to attract skilled experts in this field, human services job opportunities should be especially plentiful.
