A TNA wrestler recently earned a bachelor's degree in advertising.
When he first enrolled at West Virginia University, Michael Paris was determined to not only earn a bachelor's degree in advertising, but pursue a wrestling career as well. Struggling to make ends meet, Paris proved he was determined to make both of his dreams come true as he balanced wrestling performances and school work.

Last year, Paris landed a deal with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) wrestling, which allowed him to perform around the world as his alter ego Zema Ion. This forced Paris to travel to Universal Studios in Florida every week to tape a show featured on Spike TV, but he refused to allow it to make him to drop out of school. Keeping his academic goals in mind, Paris dropped down to taking only one course per semester, The Associated Press reports.

Now, more than six years after enrolling in West Virginia University, Paris is the proud holder of a bachelor's degree in advertising, The Intelligencer states. While he is happy to have achieved this academic accomplishment, Paris said he does not plan to use his degree in the near future. Instead, he hopes to focus on his wrestling career.
