The GRE has undergone various changes in recent years.Students who wish to attend graduate or business school might find that during the application process they are asked to submit their Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores. Master's degree seekers who need to take the GRE may find it helpful to research the recent changes made to the exam.
Beginning in August 2011, students saw the GRE revised General Test instead of the GRE General Test. This new exam features updated questions, a revised score scale and a test-taker friendly design, according to the Educational Testing Service's (ETS) website.
More recently, the ETS announced that beginning in July 2012, students will be able to select which test scores they send to prospective schools with the ScoreSelect option. Previously, degree seekers had to send the results from all of their exams to the graduate schools where they were applying.
Students who want their prospective institutions to see all of their scores still have the choice to pick the ScoreSelect All option, which will send their scores from all exams taken in the past five years.
