Scholarships Make Education Degrees Convenient and Affordable

Become a better teacher for less through scholarships.With the knowledge and skills they gain in master's degree programs, teachers have an opportunity to not only advance their careers, but the quality of instruction they deliver to their students as well. For working teachers, however, finding the time and money to attend graduate classes is not always easy.
Fortunately, for working professionals who are looking for a more convenient alternative, there is always the option of pursuing an online master's degree. If teachers choose to work toward earning an online Master of Arts in Education through Illinois' Dominican University, they may be eligible for two new scholarships, which together, are valued at $11,160, according to a recent press release.
Each of the Bisk Foundation Teacher Scholarships is designed to cover one-third of students' current tuition prices, while also ensuring that recipients gain skills they can apply to their classrooms. All who are interested must be first-time applicants to the university and hold either a bachelor's, master's, specialist or doctorate degree. Educators have until October 7 to submit their application for the Fall II, 2012 session.
