Thanks to technology, the world is no longer as big as it once seemed. For professionals working within the business sector, this has meant more opportunities to reach new markets overseas. As more companies expand their footprint on a global scale, the need for workers with an understanding of international business will only increase.

Officials at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania recognize the demand for professionals with this expertise, and have established an International Business specialization for its online Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program, according to a press release.

This online MBA degree, which is available through the university's Kania School of Management, is designed to help students understand the challenges involved in expanding their operations internationally and acquire skills they can use throughout their careers. As they work through the 36-credit-hour program, degree seekers will take courses on international business, as well as core MBA subjects.

"The program is developed and taught by a diverse multi-national faculty with deep knowledge of current international economics and finance as well as firsthand experience of the relevant cultural and business practices in the world's evolving markets," said Michael Mensah, dean of the Kania School of Management.
