Professionals in a variety of fields can benefit from receiving law education. In fact, those who wish to launch careers in politics or in nonprofit management can find increased employment opportunities upon earning law training.

In an effort to educate working adults who are interested in earning an advanced degree in environmental law online, Vermont Law School (VLS) recently published a press release announcing that it will offer two new web-based programs. The first is an online master's degree in environmental law and policy that was designed for those in non-law-related professions. VLS will also offer an online master's of laws in environmental law for post juris doctor attorneys.

The school chose to offer these programs in a web-based format to accommodate working professionals who wish to focus on their careers while earning a degree.

"By providing a platform for students to explore environmental law and policy with our world-class faculty at their own pace and within their own constraints, we will extend Vermont Law School's unique brand of excellent environmental legal training and commitment to public well-being to a vast array of communities and to the world," said Marc Mihaly, director of the VLS Environmental Law Center.
