Johns Hopkins University Launches Master’s of Education in the Health Professions Program
Teachers who work in healthcare education can benefit from enrolling in a master's degree program. Upon graduation, these professionals can qualify for promotions and salary increases.

In order to help meet the growing demand for qualified educators in this field, Johns Hopkins University (JHU) recently announced the launch of its master's of education in the health professions program, the JHU Gazette reports.

The two-year program was designed by officials from the schools of Business, Education, Medicine, Nursing and Public Health. Professionals who work as educators and educational researchers can benefit from completing this track.

"In developing this program, we have broken down the university silos like nothing that has gone before to make something uniquely Johns Hopkins," John Flynn, a member of the program's executive planning committee, told the news source. "We are very proud of that, and it’s a sign of what can be accomplished when we work together."

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, overall employment of healthcare educators is expected to increase by 18% through 2018.
