According to data updated Jan. 28, 2013, from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), holding a higher degree can significantly impact your earnings. The weekly median salary for those with a master’s degree in 2012 was $1,300, while those with a bachelor’s degree earned $1,066 a week, according to the BLS. Those with a doctoral degree earned a weekly median income of $1,624 in 2012, while those with a professional degree earned $1,735, according to the BLS.
