Founded in 1972, VLS prepares students to pursue careers in law firms and organizations in government, private, judiciary, and public-interest settings on national and international levels. The VLS Environmental Law Center, founded in 1978, offers the largest graduate environmental law program in the country.

VLS offers two online programs for our world’s increasingly complex environmental issues:

  • The online Master of Environmental Law and Policy for both lawyers and non-lawyers equips students with the knowledge to become experts in environmental affairs, and agents of change for their organization and community.
  • The online LLM in Environmental Law helps post-JD attorneys specialize in practicing environmental law so they can help shape global environmental law and policy.

Vermont Law School offers two online degrees in environmental law. The Master of Environmental Law and Policy degree is designed for lawyers and non-lawyers from a variety of professional backgrounds. The LLM in Environmental Law is designed for post-JD attorneys wishing to specialize in environmental law. Our online environmental law degrees equip you with the expertise needed to address the increasingly challenging environmental, health, and safety issues in the nonprofit, public, and private sector.
