With the demands put on working professionals, online education has become a popular way to earn a college degree. An online education allows you to attend class on your own schedule, from the comfort of your own home or a location of your choice.

At Grand Canyon University, we understand that working professionals maintain a busy schedule, yet many aspire to attain a higher level of education for personal fulfillment or to qualify for promotions and career advancement. Grand Canyon University stands apart from the other online education institutions because we are backed by the history of our traditional campus. Our online classes allow you to study at the times that work for your schedule while still enjoying the close connection with your classmates and instructor via online discussions.

Classes Offered One at a Time

Through GCU's online education courses, you'll take just one class at a time. We have found that by giving students each class individually, they are able to better focus and achieve a more in-depth level of understanding.

Full-time Online Faculty

We understand the importance of hiring quality faculty, who are dedicated to helping students succeed. This is why in addition to the outstanding faculty instructing at the GCU campus, the university is pleased to provide dedicated, full-time faculty members and fully trained adjunct instructors to serve our online education students.

Grand Canyon University offers a quality curriculum where you will gain the real-world experience needed to succeed in today’s global marketplace. The University offers nearly 100 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs through the following disciplines:

  • College of Education
  • Ken Blanchard College of Business
  • College of Arts and Sciences
  • College of Nursing and Health Care Professions

  • College of Theology

Each program is designed around your needs. Our campus lies in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona where students live or attend classes through our traditional ground programs. “I made the decision to enroll with GCU because I knew it would fit into my schedule. As a busy professional, I needed a program that fit my needs and not the other way around.”
– Rick Carson, MSL ‘08

“I’m currently working on my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at GCU and found the online program very rewarding right from the start. I currently work at a medical university and teach faculty doctors how to use computer technology and software to put their curriculum together. My success in this area is directly related to my education and experience at GCU. I can take classes around my work schedule instead of the other way around. I can also contact my instructors any time I want; it’s a whole lot easier than tracking them down on campus or waiting for a scheduled class. The Christian principles of GCU also reinforce the values that I grew up with and have helped to make my experience earning my doctorate online at GCU much more rewarding than traditional college courses.”
– Martha Guerra, EdD, Educational Leadership
(expected graduation May 2013)
