Chamberlain College of Nursing
Co-curricular Learning Program
Chamberlain College of Nursing’s co-curricular learning program provides students with opportunities to demonstrate and develop their clinical proficiency and earn course credit through community health initiatives both locally and abroad. Recently, eight nursing students from Chamberlain’s St. Louis campus experienced a two-week mission trip to rural Bolivia, bringing treatment and health education to residents of remote Bolivian villages.

Chamberlain College of Nursing is certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, 101 N. 14th Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219, 804-225-2600. The VA Board of Nursing has provided Chamberlain College of Nursing with the authority to advertise the program and to admit students to its Arlington campus location.
Chamberlain College of Nursing is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC), www.ncahlc.org, one of the six regional agencies that accredit U.S. colleges and universities at the institutional level. Courses at the Arlington, VA and Chicago, IL campuses are approved by HLC. Inclusion of the Arlington and Chicago campuses for degree-granting authority within the accreditation relationship will be reviewed through a September 2010 site visit from HLC. The bachelor of science in nursing degree program at the St. Louis and Columbus campuses and the associate of science degree in nursing program at the Columbus campus are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The bachelor of science in nursing degree program at the Addison, Columbus, Phoenix, and St. Louis campuses is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The Arlington and Chicago campuses are pursuing CCNE accreditation for the bachelor of science in nursing degree program. Accreditation provides assurance to the public and to prospective students that standards of quality have been met. Program availability varies by location. Student Services
Chamberlain College of Nursing provides a variety of academic support services to both on-site and on-line nursing students. Support services may include tutoring, assessment, study sessions, writing assistance, test preparation, academic resources, and supplemental materials.

Chamberlain has partnered with AfterCollege, an online job resource tool for nursing internship and job opportunities nationwide, to provide listings for Chamberlain nursing students.

Campus Life
Chamberlain College of Nursing holds on-campus events several times a year, providing prospective students a closer look at a career in nursing and a chance to experience campus life first hand. Chamberlain also sponsors and participates in a number of events that champion the causes of health care and nursing, and build camaraderie among the students and faculty.
Financial Aid Process
Chamberlain College of Nursing helps students develop plans for financing their education through a combination of financial assistance programs (for those who qualify), family contributions, employer tuition reimbursement (when available) and the Chamberlain College of Nursing EDUCARD® Plan. Assistance packages will be developed using information from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and any supplemental documents.
