Rowan University is a selective, medium-sized public university accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and located in Glassboro, N.J., just 20 minutes southeast of Philadelphia. Rowan Online, a division of Rowan University’s College of Graduate & Continuing Education, leads this commitment to accessible, quality education by providing the following:
- Courses offered in a Learning Management System and characterized by a user-friendly environment that incorporates multi-media technologies, including digital slide shows, audio, and video to deliver course content as effectively as in the classroom setting.
- The ability for students to engage one another and the course instructor using internet-based communication tools including email, chat rooms, and online discussion boards.
- Online courses scheduled in 8 week modules so that two courses can be taken one at a time, per term.
- Certificate programs that may be completed in as little as 9 months and master’s degree programs that may be completed in as little as 24 months.
- Available areas of study include business, communication, education, and engineering.
Rowan University offers online graduate-level certificate programs, master’s degrees, a doctoral degree, and an undergraduate degree completion program. Certificate programs may be completed in as little as 9 months and master’s degree programs may be completed in as little as 24 months.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Rowan’s Rohrer College of Business is AACSB accredited. As such, it upholds a wide range of quality standards relating to curriculum, faculty resources, and intellectual climate. On average, students admitted to the MBA program in academic year 2011/2012 had a 501 GMAT score.
Master of Engineering Management (MEM)
The MEM program effectively prepares engineers for management level positions using a combination of courses from Rowan’s College of Engineering and AACSB accredited Rohrer College of Business. This degree requires the completion of 30 graduate semester hours or 10 courses and admission does not require standardized test scores.
Master of Education (M. Ed.)
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Teacher Leadership program is offered by Rowan’s NCATE accredited College of Education. Students in the M.Ed. program may choose one of the following content areas: Educational Technology, Special Education, English as a Second Language, or Reading.
M.A. in Criminal Justice
The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Criminal Justice is intended for those planning to hold leadership positions in criminal justice agencies; federal, state, local, or non-profit research; or pursue doctoral level studies. This is a part-time program offered in an accelerated online format. It requires the completion of 30 graduate semester hours (10 courses) which are possible to complete in only 5 consecutive semesters.
Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Certificate
The Certificate of Graduate Study in Integrated Marketing Communication and New Media provides a deeper understating of social media and integrated communication and how they impact the workplace. It requires the completion of 3 courses.
Doctoral (Ed. D.) in Educational Leadership
Offered by Rowan University’s NCATE accredited College of Education, the Ed. D. in Educational Leadership at Rowan University prepares professionals in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve, higher education, and community colleges to advance to education leadership positions. This Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership requires the completion of 60 graduate semester hours (S.H.) made up of 16 courses (48 S.H.) and 12 S.H. of dissertation.
B.A. in Liberal Studies
The B.A. in Liberal Studies is a degree completion program designed for those who possess at least 24 college credits and want to complete a bachelor’s degree in a convenient setting. This quality liberal studies program offers students solid academic preparation and is ideal for working adults.
